Summary
Zuko doesn't know what would have happened if he'd stayed. Maybe his father would have humiliated him further maybe he would have changed his mind (unlikely), but whatever choice he would have made Zuko made it for him. A person can only take so much before they break after all and waking up alone and in pain was the final straw for the 13 year old boy. He's lucky he ended up where he did.
3 years after the Agni Kai that left him blind and deaf on the left side of his face Zuko lives as the adopted nephew of a small town's healer. The villagers have long stopped caring about the fire dancing over his finger tips since he's proved he only uses it to brew their medicine.
Lee has no desire to be dragged back into his father's war, but what can he do when he's the only firebender in the Earth Kingdom that the avatar he was once tasked with hunting down can hope to learn from? -

Summary
Fire was an element that either commanded respect or consumed fear. Aelita Kenshin had experienced both feelings during her sixteen years of life. A firebending master reduced to nothing but the hollow shell of what she once was, the Butcher of Ba Sing Se no longer trusted the power beneath her fingertips.
The entire world believed the Avatar to be dead and nearly all of the Akira's world thought she was too. Forced to leave Aelita's body behind, Aang and the others are left to grapple with the grief that threatens to overwhelm them with only their desire for peace and justice pushing them forward.
Welcomed home as war heroes next to their sister, twin Princes Zuko and Zetzu are thrust back into the game of thrones, forced to face their demons. With tensions rising faster than Sozin's Comet approaches, it's soon clear that only one of them can be left to inherit their family's scorched legacy.
Fire is the element of power. The people of the Fire Nation have the desire and will to achieve what they want. Only time will tell if that power and desire will be too much to handle as the fate of the world is forged in fire.

Befriending Sokka sets her on a new path, but will she continue to obey her father, or choose to make a stand against the war?
Everyone believes Zuko is dead. Little do they know he lives, trapped in a Fire Nation prison camp. There, he will discover the true cruelty of the war and suffer in ways he never imagined. Summary
Katara never really cared for the stories, but now, holding the Avatar’s heart in her hand, soaking herself in his blood, she wondered if anyone would notice if she made a few amendments.
First: The avatar is dead and everyone should run
Second: No one can save you
-
Alternatively: A role reversal AU wherein Katara and Sokka replace Zuko and Azula, respectively. A few changes are made, however. The largest being that the Avatar is dead. The next is that soon, all benders will meet the same fate, including the very one that killed him.

Sokka makes an accidental contract with a spirit to protect his tribe, resulting in rather … monstrous consequences. How will these changes change his path?

Summary
Sokka isn't sure of his place. He has to protect his sister, that's his job, but what can he really do? She's a bender, he's not. Now a member of the Avatar's group, he feels less useful than usual. What can he contribute? Nothing. He's not a bender, his plan's are often written off.
Coincidentally, there's a certain enemy who also wants all the stress and responsibility to end.
And coincidentally, they come to the same conclusion: perhaps they'd fair better away from it all.

No big deal, or at least, it wasn't, until he gets roped into joining their little gang of misfits, and then actually begins to care for some of them, despite their idiocy. He just...doesn't know what to do with that.
He does know that they can't know who he really is....

Summary
Sokka got separated from the rest of the Gaang in Gaipan, presumed dead but really just rotting on a prison ship. Zuko was banished to the 41st for his disrespect against his Father, floating around the military until he too was sent to jail for the worst crime of all: being liked more than the actual general.
There's only one thing these boys have in common: A little sister they would do anything for.
Is that enough to form a friendship for long enough to make it to the North Pole on foot, through the dangerous Whoop-up territory full of bandits and dark spirits?
Spoiler alert: No. But throw in a 40 of fire whisky and they can cobble together *something* resembling friendship.

Summary
In the chaos of the Day of Black Sun, before Zuko confronted his father and left to find and join the Avatar, Zuko wrote a letter to the woman he loved. A letter that broke her heart in the hope that it would keep her home and safe. It didn't work that way. Instead, it kept Mai and Ty Lee as ignorant of the true scale of what was really at stake as his new friends until it was almost too late, and denied them the chance to do the right thing because it was right. Everyone knows what happened next.
In the present, an unexpected romance between Mai and a man she had only occasionally thought of exposes the true scale of the consequences of that day. Consequences that threaten not just the survival of the Enterprise crew and Aang's friends, but the futures of four species. As the situation begins to spin out of control, Zuko finds himself once again at the crossroads of his destiny. Can he prove to everyone, even himself, that he still has a role to play in humanity's future? Or will he falter, to the ruin of all?

Beginning in episode 1:
Sokka didn't trust this random Twelve (???) Year old. What type of freak appears in an iceberg and starts Airbending even though the Air Nomads were killed a century ago, he's weird and Sokka doesn't like weird.
Slight change; he REALLY doesn't like Aang after leading the Fire Nation RIGHT to his tribe.

Summary
The girl herself was humming softly, the sound low and sad, her voice trembling as though on the verge of breaking. Her fingers idly traced patterns in the dust on the floor as her hair swayed gently in the unseen currents of air that seemed to follow her.
Aang’s breath caught in his throat. His wide eyes locked onto her, his mind struggling to comprehend the sight before him. Katara and Sokka exchanged a glance, equally unsure of what they were seeing.
The humming stopped.
The girl’s head tilted slightly, her fingers pausing mid-motion. Slowly, she turned her head to glance over her shoulder, revealing her glowing pink eyes. The gaze she met was not one of hostility or anger but one of surprise, confusion, and—for a brief, fleeting moment—something that looked like a tiny spark of flickering hope.
For the first time in what felt like an eternity, Jinx’s voice broke the silence, “…What do you want?” she asked, her tone flat, devoid of any emotion beyond weariness.
Aang took a hesitant step forward, his heart pounding in his chest. He didn’t know what to say, but one thought echoed loudly in his mind:
'She’s an Airbender.'
