    It is an era of decline for men, elves, and all creatures of Middle Galactica. The imperial machine is stretched too thin to control the core planets- Gond, Rohim, and Lorien. The true king of Gond wanders in exile, and the false Lord Denelrond schemes to secure his dynasty. His daughter, Lady Arwen, is engaged to Boromir, proud Captain of the White Guard. But her eyes are opening to the rot within the capital. And her curiosity wanders to the dark stranger stalking her dreams.

    This started as Arwen/ Aragorn/Faramir smut and now it’s mutated into like... the inter-generational politics of empire. So be prepared for some WILD tone shifts. Just the gnarliest most wacky pieces of LOTR crossed over with GoT and also somehow Dune. Though, a lot of that comes later in my brain maze. Playing fast and loose with the rules. Here to have a good time.

    For my convenience and yours a lot of places, things are sort of smashed together to keep the focus of the AU on character dynamics and VIBES. Rivendell and Gondor are this glowing hybrid planet- Gond. Etc. Also, fuck it, elves have wings. This is my sandbox.

    “No,” she said, her teasing edged with warmth. “I think you’re capable of far too many of them. But subtle? Not so much.”

    His brow arched, amused. “Not subtle? Whatever makes you say that?”

    She gave him a pointed look, her smirk growing. “I saw you glaring at Éomer earlier. If looks could kill, Gondor and Rohan would have a diplomatic crisis on their hands.”

    Faramir flushed slightly, but his laugh was genuine. “That wasn’t glaring. I was… assessing.”

    Líreth looked at him, her breath hitching in her chest, as if the question had pierced straight through her defenses. She had spent so long running from attachments, from emotions, from the very idea of needing someone. But in this moment, with him, she could not deny it any longer.

    “I stay,” she said quietly, her voice barely above a whisper, “because I care for you, Faramir.”

    Her words hung in the air between them, and for a heartbeat, neither of them moved. The world seemed to pause, the weight of what had just been spoken settling around them like a mantle they could neither shrug off nor ignore.

    Faramir’s eyes softened, and for the briefest moment, a smile touched his lips, fragile and uncertain, but real. “Then… I am glad you stay.”
