Summary
In a world with supernatural creatures and powered individuals, it’s inevitable that sides would be formed. Some use their powers for good, some don’t, and some do something in between the two.
Tango was just trying to pull off a robbery with her team, but it went wrong and she got shot by a hero. She managed to get away but the blood loss leaves them unconscious in an alley.
But they wake up in their room at their team's base, where she’s told that someone patched her up before the team got there.
Tango is curious, who would’ve helped them?

Tango is a blaze/avian hybrid.
His mother was a blaze hybrid and his father an avian.
When Tango was born, people assumed he was just a blaze hybrid.
His wings never came in, no feathers appeared/grew anywhere on his body to speak of, he just had his father’s bird like instincts (smushed together with his mom’s of course) and vocalizations.
Tango is what is called a false hybrid [an hybrid who does not have physical attributes of their hybrid nature, instead only having the internal attributes (instincts and sometimes vocalizations)].
He also decided not to tell anyone this information, not because he did not trust them or something.
Far from it.
He never told anyone because he thought it was not that important to tell.
or, 5 times ppl did not realize Tango was a false avian + 1 times someone did.

Footsteps sound from farther away, but seem to be rapidly approaching. They’re swift and strong, moving with purpose.
He has a hard time hearing them over the beating of his heart.
Whoever or whatever it is enters the kitchen, then seems to stop near the threshold. Tango waits a few moments before tentatively peeking his head out from behind the island.
Only a few feet away is a dark shape, form twisting and turning like smoke.
He quickly ducks back and holds his breath. If he can't see it, it's not there!
The footsteps don't resume. Not even after what feels like an eternity of waiting. Tango shuts his eyes tight at some point, hoping beyond hope that he'll make it through this.

Everyone except Jimmy Solidarity.
Jimmy is a young man with exceptionally bad luck and a past he’d much rather leave behind. He lives in Beamsville trying to scrape by as a bit of an outcast, so different from everyone else.
But then a new neighbour by the name of Tango Tek moves in next door and he and his friends flip Jimmy’s life upside down.
(Basically Platonic Ranchers being silly and getting into trouble with other characters to be added, I'm making this up as I go.)

Summary
After being hunted and nearly captured by the Watchers, Jimmy and Tango are back at the beginning, still trying in vain to find Lizzie and Joel. Besieged by enemies at all sides, forced to run to old friends for help, Jimmy and Tango must face the increasingly deadly Watchers, the lost search for Jimmy's sister, and even Death itself in their hunt for Lizzie and, perhaps, finally, peace.
Lizzie waits in the shimmering desert for news of her brother, watching Joel transform little by little every day. She has long since resigned herself to Joel's transformation into a Hermit, but when a strange, deadly cult sporting void-touched weapons breaches the horizon, she and her whispering shadows must fight with all she has to protect Joel and her new friends.
In the desert, the death-touched siblings must reckon with their mortality, their new, strange world, and whether their bond and love can bring them back to each other.
And as always the song winds through Jimmy's head: a song that sings ill tidings, a song that promises death before him or Lizzie can ever find their happy ending.

He wasn’t sure how the netherborn could feel through the glove—though he claimed ceaselessly that he could—but when Tango pulled his hand away again Jimmy found himself gravitating toward his unnatural warmth again, like a moth to flame. Or a canary to flame, more similarly.
“Jeez, you’re still burning up.” Tango confessed. “I should bring you to Gem, or get you something to help. Oh…Void.” He whispered. Jimmy knew why this was a problem.
OR: Jimmy is very unwell. Tango tries his best to care for him.
