A One-Shot about Nine from Sonic Prime.
Ever since sending Sonic home, Nine has felt terrible. Overcome with guilt and barely having any sense of purpose, he's trying to prove to everyone - except himself, since he's absolutely confident - that Sonic is still alive. Cue a mysterious invitation holding his one chance to meet him again - and everyone else in his world. How can he resist?
Unfortunately, as each race passes by, nothing seems to be going right for him. Feeling distraught and empty, he somehow finds a secret room in Dodon-Pa's factory and "borrows" a way to escape the pain he's been going through.
...but being trapped in a world where rain boils was not the getaway he was hoping for.
OR: Nine decides to join the races in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, uncovers the aftermath of what happened in Sonic Prime and runs off to the Boiling Isles, feeling lost and hopeless. Sonic the Hedgehog, Tails, Knuckles the Dread and Rusty Rose catch on too late - cue a rescue mission while Nine explores a world of witches, demons and magic.

Summary
The Egg Planet Park has opened, and Sonic has been invited aboard as 'compensation for past transgressions'. Naturally, he doubts the sincerity of the Doctor's message, and those doubts are shared with Shadow. But with so many people milling around, and so much effort put into the park, could Eggman really be using it as little more than a cover? The intrepid heroes of Earth will find the truth of the park, and the truth of themselves in due course.

Summary
After a tragic accident, Sonic, only 6 years old, was left to wander the wrecked streets of what was once his home. He was found by Dr. Eggman, who took him in. Although Sonic never really viewed him as a father, they were still family in a way.
Growing up, Sonic would often run away from home and cause trouble in the city, giving him a bad reputation and causing G.U.N. to start hunting him down.Shadow was 8 when G.U.N. invaded the ARK and killed everyone involved with Project Shadow. Maria sent him down to Earth before she was killed, and Shadow was taken in soon after, the commander deciding it a waste to kill him in the end. Shadow’s memories of the event were fuzzy, so over time, he eventually gave up trying to remember, instead focusing on his training alongside Rouge.
Shadow has now been tasked with taking Sonic down and bringing him in for containment. Though, it isn’t as simple as he had thought. Sonic’s speed and strength rival his own, and his actions are erratic, unpredictable.
At first, Sonic seems like nothing more than a complete adrenaline junkie. But as Shadow digs deeper, he starts to see there’s more to Sonic than just reckless energy—layers of complexity he hadn’t expected. -

Summary
A new journey begins for Sonic across the pokemon world and regions. This new path walked by Sonic and his trusted partner raichu, often joined by their friends, contains many challenges, new loyal allies, just as many deadly enemies, a complicated rivarly with Ash Ketchum as well as personal quest of self-discovery and improvement and the pursuit of a dream Sonic never knew he had.
For a bit more context: this is a retelling/rewritting of the pokemon universe story from Sonic's pov. Sonic and his friends will be existing characters in this universe and won't be carbon copies of existing versions of them (characters will be built over time). The story will cover all of Ash's journey as well as future adventures in Paldea. Feel free to comment your opinions or possible ideas if you like the story though whether they will be applied is not for certain as the basic plot up until the masters tournament has already been decided.
