Bruce was always bad at asking for help; he had this inherent opinion that he deserved it somehow. Of all the things he had been given in his life, it was only fair that he should bear his struggles on his own. That asking for help was essentially confessing that he wasn’t able to handle it. That The Batman was weak and wasn’t able to handle Gotham’s criminals. That there was no point in even trying.
However, it seemed that he was at the end of his rope. There really wasn’t another option this time. He had to grit and bear it.
He held onto his ribs tighter and bit back a groan. “Clark”, he nearly whispered.
If Clark was able to hear his heartbeat for god’s sake, he could likely hear his own name. Bruce certainly hoped. It was later in the night, Clark likely was out patrolling Metropolis. Maybe got himself into his own squabble with criminals.
“Clark please.” He said through his teeth.

Bruce Wayne has just transferred to Metropolis City University and isn’t all too happy about it. Unlike everyone else he knows, he misses Gotham. And now he has to balance university, being Batman, and his feelings for Clark Kent - which he definitely doesn’t have.
