Akari Yamachi has an extremely rare condition called Duo-Quirk. This means that she has two Quirks - one that's inherited and another totally random.
Akari promised herself 10 years ago not to use the second one - the powerful, useful one. Because if she did:
1. She would petrify herself beyond repair.
2. She would be taken away by scientists.
Both outcomes aren't pleasant, which leaves her with her first original Quirk - Control C-V (short for Control C, Control V). It's useless and essentially means that she might as well be Quirkless.And she wants to go to UA High. For budding heroes and heroines.

She held up her arm with a smile and pointed towards his face. For a second, Shouto watched her with a bewildered look and Mizuki suddenly felt very stupid for voicing her impromptu thoughts out loud.
Then, something like a snort escaped him. Almost like an actual laugh. The corners of his mouth twitched upwards into a small smile and his eyes danced with amusement. He looked so different, she couldn’t help it.
Mizuki stared.
And her stomach did a weird flip, not unpleasant but unfamiliar.
