Summary
Izuku is a ghost to society.
Not that he minds, of course. It’s what’s best for everyone. If he had it his way, he would fade from the world altogether, be a blissfully average person with a blissfully average life. However, there are 4 glaring problems with this wish:
1. The spirits that only he can see, who seem to both hate him and always need his help at the same time.
2. The closest thing he has to a parental figure is a sentient tree.
3. The frankly terrifying not-quirk that he can barely control, that has an irritating tendency to knock the shit out of anyone who so much as breathes wrong in his direction.
4. The fact that he’s somehow accidentally become a vigilante, which is attracting way too much attention in his opinion.Meanwhile, Eraserhead just wants to find his kid.
(Or, two heroes, two heroes-in-training, and one very persistent spirit try to convince Izuku that he’s not a monster to varying degrees of success.)

A chance encounter after All Might left him on the roof, and Izuku throwing his hero analysis book off said roof, led him to meet Io, the Circle Hero. Her hero costume reminded him of witches and wizards, and he would've never imagined that it was real.
That magic was real.
Io reveals herself a witch, and informs him that although he doesn't have a quirk, he has magic and she can teach him if he wants. She can teach him all sorts of spells, glyphs, and potions! He'll have to work hard to learn them all, to work hard in becoming strong, and work hard to achieve his dream of becoming a hero!
"Magic isn't something simple. It's, complex, alive. It's wild, unpredictable, beautiful. That's why we train, so we can understand it. Be in tune, and be able to safely use it. It's about connecting with it, not using it."

"Deku" is all Izuku has been known as since his quirk never came in, and it was draining to deal with a name and reputation like that day after day. Espwcially when he knew it was wrong but coukdn't prove it. He knew he had a quirk, it just didn't work how it should. He knew that there was more to it than what only he'd been able to find out, but he couldn't shot it to anyone. If he did, he'd still be Deku, because he'd still be weak and useless, but at least he wouldn't be quirkless. It's been years though since he knew about his quirk with nothing to show for it but some lights. He was starting to question if he should just remain quirkless to everyone but himself.
However, all he needed was fayth.
OR, Izuku is a summoner from Final Fantasy X, along with some summons from og Final Fantasy VII for some spice

It had been almost 13 years since Izuku found himself in this hellscape of a world. A world that was constantly at war with an enemy that found themselves in God's blind spot. It was also in this world that Izuku experienced his first death (at least he is pretty sure it was his first death), however as a Preyer death has quite a different meaning. For all Preyer live in God's blind spot right next to the Witches.
After a quick check over of his weapons and making sure he carried sufficient ammunition, he lets out a sigh "Well then lets return for another attempt" he lightly says to himself, calmly reaching his hand towards the portal with his destination already blooming forth to mind.
This fic is based around my favorite game of this year, Witchfire. Its an absolutely amazing game that I heavily recommend checking out if you like good gunplay, rougelites, and a Grimdark/occult Darksouls-like atmosphere.

Wrote this because I was bored, but idk about an update schedule. I'm going to try and release a decent few chapters, but once July rolls around its gonna probably go on hiatus for a 2-3 months since ill be starting a new job around then.
Also this is my first time writing anything not for school, and while I did pretty good in English and speak English as my first language, I'm not as confident in my actual abilities to make a story so don't expect some super amazing grand story, just something hopefully decent to pass the time and with readable English.
